in the beginning drum n bass had a deep abstraction to it. once it developed into a standard form the abstraction was lost and with it. it's soul was lost. i see so many of us searching for the abstraction that was once deep within drum n bass. we glimpse it's presence by digging deeper into oldschool jungle, but we can only go so far into history before it no longer exists.
i see dubstep being the answer, only as long as it does not become standard. which sadly is already happening.

hey is The Bug considered Doomstep or Dubstep or just The Bug like Squarepusher?
if its considered doomstep would that not contribute to the defamation of dubstep by splintering its fundementals?
