The Differences Between Ragga And Dnb

DOA = a site of complete douchebag assholes who have more opinions than FOX news.
RJ = a site of, primarily, very nice people who work together to achieve common goals.
Both styles have been around just as long as the other so there's no seniority snobbery involved.
discuss.

I see it this way... Ragga jungle attracts a smaller percentage of the populace, culling the herd a bit. The more people you have, the more douches you have, and thus tensions inevitabley elevate. Imagine what life must be like on a Jonas Brothers fan club board.
We do have some epic-level turds on here, and DEFNITLEY had some major-league drama, back before you started posting regularly, but being such a tightly-knit community, we were able to let that shit die. If we had 50,000 members posting so quickly that each post takes less than 5 minutes to get buried, the jerk-off level would be so damn high that the nice guys would eventually get sucked in.
Less people = less jerk-offs.
Douchebaggery increases exponentially with population...

Anytime I see someone post a mix of older jungle tunes on DOA, they always get plenty of nice responses.
P.S. I <3 d&b.

I know that it gets put in the 'underground' genre. cos it is not just commercial (although there is a big commercial side) you still do get the majority of producers making it because they want to make music rather than be famous/make money etc but it's still a massive massive scene, the big DnB night (in europe anyway) will be one of the biggest nights in the city, so you inevitably get lots of people involved in the scene who are just hangers on
ragga isn't so big, it's still popular enough to put on parties and people will come, but it's not the same as DnB where you'd put on a big name and be guaranteed more than 1000 people outside of a major city
so you wouldn't get so many people turning up there trying to be cool or whatever, the fans are more likely to be people who would seek it out rather than just turn up, which means a better vibe
re DOA all big forums are full of douchebags, it's some sort of herd mentality/deindividuation thing.
oh, and listening to endless 8 bar loops of hoovers and 4/4 breakbeats with echo effect and the occasional vocal sample makes you stupid

Personality disorders, these have always been contagious, being passed down from generations to generations as learned survival mechanisms.
Now personality disorders run rampant upon the internet everyday, much like the display of brutality during America's signature black fridays. During these displays of personality disorders the people inherently believe they are being themselves; individuals. It's simply the survival maechanism to fit in.
behavior such as acquiring an acceptable use? of the term douchebag... This is just nasty.
Best part is when Europeans use the word Dude. I find it funny. Duder, El Duderino!
Have you ever studied a flock of birds? It's a very beautiful ever changing pattern of movement, the flock itself looks sentient.

you could argue that the individual is merely a unique combination of personality disorders and attempts to follow the herd. and even someone who makes a point of not doing the same thing and thinking the same as everyone else is only doing it cos of everyone else
nothing wrong with europeans saying dude, or chinese wearing hiphop clothes etc etc there is a global culture now.

See I've never really clocked RAW because he doesn't do this sort of thing on his mixes (at least the ones I've heard) but that was pretty amazing.
Any other videos or mixes like this?

I think the tachikomas said something pretty nice about this, I can't remember exactly what it was, but I would have to agree.

one of my favorite jungle mixes of all time is RAW live at konkrete jungle new york, 2004? 03? he does his "championz" routine... pretty sick. He usually does not do it on his mixes, I have a lot of them. He murders it live 100% of the time. He gets into some turntablist action on the last Dub Chamber mix that came out, i think he does the championz routine on that also.

I give the mix 9 out of 10. I was there live for this one, he kills it, but i have seen him do better. If you really want to get into some heat try locating some audio from his battles vs. Swamp (he killed swamp), Basek (murdered him also). King of the jungle.
